Kate Bone (FKA Kaitlin Huwe) is fast making a name for herself in Hollywood with several high profile roles including this past summer’s hit Netflix film “Purple Hearts,” opposite Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine. The film remained Netflix’s number one streaming film for several weeks. Adapted by Kyle Jarrow and Liz Garcia from a book of the same name by Tess Wakefield, the film was directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, known for her previous work in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, Dead to Me, and Spinning Out. Kate’s other film credits include The Sundance Film “The Nowhere Inn,” directed by Bill Benz and starring Annie Clark (St. Vincent) and Carrie Brownstein, the film was also a selection at SXSW and The Tribeca Film Festival.
Kate has also made memorable guest starring appearances on television including high profile roles on “Seal Team” opposite David Boreanz, “Little America” on Apple TV, “LA’s Finest” opposite Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union, TNT’s drama series “Animal Kingdom,” Comedy Central’s “Workaholics” and “Total Badass Wrestling” for Snapchat.
A proud member of The Road Theatre in Los Angeles, Kate has worked closely with several playwrights to develop new work. She originated the role of "Samantha" in the World Premiere "Through the Eye of A Needle" by Jami Brandli.
Kate is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theatre Film and Television. She trained at the famed Groundlings School in LA, is a graduate of the 2-Year Meisner Training at the Baron Brown Studio.
